Howly Police seized 31 cartons of narcotic substance

BARPETA: Howly Police led by Pankaj Das were able to seize 31 cartons of narcotic substance on Tuesday. The cartons were being brought in a three-wheeler vehicle (AS -28 C 7728) from Barpeta Road to Howly. One person was arrested in this connection. He has been identified as Manoranjan Das (46) of Simlaguri in Baska district. One Nazrul Islam (56) was also caught by police on Monday for drug peddling.
