GUWAHATI: Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu denied the rumours about HS chemistry paper leak and has termed the reports as false and unfounded.
The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council, or AHSEC, has also made a formal announcement regarding the fraudulent nature of the paper leak episode.
The state's education minister used his official twitter account to disseminate the AHSEC notification. "The story of chemistry question paper leaks in the current high school exam is absolutely untrue and baseless," the tweet declares.
“I personally investigated the situation. We are being really cautious and vigilant. Please disregard rumours and false information”, education minister Ranoj Pegu added.
The paper leak event is bogus, according to the official notice from AHSEC, and students shouldn't accept such untrue rumours.
The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council reportedly addressed the issue and made it clear that unfair exam practises were not used and that pupils should concentrate on upcoming exams.
On February 28, 2023, Assam High School students took the Vocational English Paper IV, Business Studies, and Political Science exams.
The high school exam began on February 20 and will conclude on March 20, 2023. The test will be given in two shifts, the first from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and the second from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The official AHSEC website can be consulted by candidates for additional information.
According to sources, a handwritten chemistry exam solved question paper was posted on social media the day before the test on February 27. On social media, images of the paper were extensively shared.
Although it took notice of the situation, the AHSEC refuted the allegations; nonetheless, the news release omitted any mention of the handwritten notes that were circulated on social media.
