NAGAON: A controversy has erupted in Nagaon after a female student, Kamala Khatun, was allegedly barred from appearing her higher secondary final exam at the Kalongpar Senior Secondary School due to her age.
According to reports, Kamala Khatun, a 45 year-old student from Dr S R K. Secondary School, was not allowed to enter the examination centre by the principal of Kalongpar Senior Secondary School.
The student had reportedly brought her admit card and other necessary documents, but was denied entry by the principal, who claimed that her age was a barrier for appearing in the examination.
