Human chain formed to create awareness about Poshan Abhiyan

MORIGAON: In order to free the country from malnutrition , anaemia and stunting, the Poshan Abhiyan has targeted September as Poshan Maah for holistic nourishment.

As part of the Poshan Maah, the Morigaon district administration, supported by the Social Welfare Department, has been organizing various events like quiz competition, street drama, rally and poster competiton.

On Sunday, the district administration organized a human chain programme to make people aware about the dangers of malnutrition, anaemia and stunting. The human chain programme was formally flagged off by the MLA as well as the chairman of Fish-Fed, Ramakanta Deuri at Morigaon police point. Almost 20,000 people joined in the human chain holding posters and banners along the road from Morigaon to Jagiroad.
