Hundreds take part in run for clean air in half-marathon organized by Dima Hasao Forest Department

Haflong: Commemorating World Environment Day, 2019 with the theme ‘Air Pollution’, Dima Hasao Forest Department organized a half-marathon from the Botanical Garden to Ranima Gaidinlu Statue at Boro Haflong on Tuesday.

More than 180 participants from various age groups took part in the half-marathon and out of them, five male and five female participants emerged as winners and they will be awarded during the celebration of World Environment Day on Wednesday.

The marathon was participated by MAC, Nojit Kemprai, CCF, M Tungmung, DFOs, Ramen Das, N Jeme, T. Langthasa and others officials from the forest department. This was followed by plantation of various plants in and around the statue of Ranima Gaidinlu by the participants and prominent citizens of Haflong.
