IAF Transport Aircraft Conference held at Air Force Station in Jorhat

Jorhat/Guwahati: An-32 Operators’ Conference 2018 was held from December 4 to 5, 2018 at Air Force Station in Jorhat.

Air Commodore SK Verma VSM, Air Officer Commanding Air Force Station Jorhat inaugurated the conference.

The conference was attended by delegates from various Units operating An-32, representatives of Air Force Command Headquarters, Air Headquarters and other agencies associated with the fleet.

In the Inaugural address, the Air Commodore specified the role and importance of An-32 aircraft in Indian Air Force.

He also added that An-32 aircraft is the workhorse and backbone of Indian Air Force by narrating its valuable contributions in various operations/missions held in India and abroad.

The conference provided a suitable platform for interaction amongst pilots, aeronautical engineers and specialists associated with the fleet for brainstorming and finding innovative solutions for the sustenance of this Russian origin transport aircraft.

A wide range of issues on operations and maintenance of the An-32 aircraft were discussed during the conference
