Illegal liquor seized under Excise Circles of Sonitpur district

TEZPUR: Acting on a tip-off, an excise raid was carried out with the help of Sonitpur Police under areas of Tezpur, Dhekiajuli and Rangapara under Excise Circles of Sonitpur district. The raid was supervised by SE Sonitpur. During the course of the raid, around 450 litres of illicitly distilled liquor, 600 kg pachwai, 4,300 litres fermented wash and 40 kg starter cake were destroyed and 10 DA sets were seized, official sources said.
