Illegal sand-laden trucks seized at Chaygaon on Tuesday

BOKO: Seven illegal sand-laden trucks were seized under West Division Forest Office at Chaygaon on Tuesday. DFO Ranjan Goswami and Chaygaon Police Station officer-in-charge Bhaskar Malla Patowary along with forest and police personnel launched an operation against illegal sand trucks at Kardeguri, Ouguri, Goroimari, Gumi and Hatigarh areas under Chaygaon Police Station. DFO Ranjan Goswami said that the forest department had already warned all the sand businessmen not to transport sand without challan. But when they launched the operation suddenly and tried to stop sand-laden trucks, they tried to flee but forest and police personnel caught them and all the trucks were seized.
