Illegal saw mills dismantled in Lakhipathar range

TINSUKIA: The Digboi Forest Division, in its on-going operations against illegal timber activities, dismantled two illegal saw mills in Lakhipathar range on Thursday.

The raid, conducted in a joint operation with police, was led by ACF Mriganka Bora and Range officer of Lakhipathar. The team also seized tools used in sawing operation though the culprits escaped. Investigation is on to nab the miscreants, informed DFO Digboi Ranjit Ram.
