Illicit liquor destroyed by Sivasagar Sadar Excise Team and Nitaipukhuri

DEMOW: The Sivasagar Sadar Excise Team and Nitaipukhuri outpost personnel conducted raids in various places of Nitaipukhuri on Thursday and destroyed many litres of illicit liquor as well as distilled illicit liquor. According to sources, the Sivasagar Sadar Excise Team and Nitaipukhuri outpost personnel also conducted a raid in Nitaipukhuri weekly bazaar and checked few shops to find out if sulai was being sold with traditional liquor in the market. During the operation, the team succeeded in seizing around 15 litres of illicit liquor along with traditional liquor, said a source.
