Illicit liquor seized by excise department under Tezpur & Chariduar revenue circles

TEZPUR: Acting on a tip-off, an excise raid was carried out on Monday at various places under Tezpur and Chariduar revenue circles viz, Baam Gaon TE, Sonabeel TE and Tolgereki in Sonitpur district. During the course of the raid, around 50 litres of illicitly distilled liquor, 410 kg pachwai and 190 litres of fermented wash were destroyed and 102 utensils were seized. In this connection, three persons were arrested, official sources said.
