Illicit liquor seized by Excise team in Sonitpur District

TEZPUR: Acting on a tip-off, an Excise raid was carried out with the help of Sonitpur Police at various places under Tezpur Excise Circle, viz., Borson Mazgaon Chuburi, Naharani upar gaon, Gandurabil and Kenduguri area in Sonitpur District. During the course of the raid, around 160 litres of illicitly distilled liquor, 1,600 kg of Pachwai and 3,300 litres of fermented wash was destroyed and 59 utensils were seized, official sources said.
