Illicit liquor seized in Barpeta town; Two persons arrested

BARPETA, July 23: Two persons were caught with 400 litres of illicit liquor at Barpeta on Thursday by the police. The illicit liquor was seized from a Maruti van (AS-25, 1517) which was coming from Sarthebari to Barpeta town. The operation was led by Munindra Narayan Das, Town in-charge of police. The police nabbed two persons - Nabajit Das and Debajit Das.
