Illicit liquor seized under Tezpur Excise Circle in Sonitpur district

TEZPUR: A joint excise raid was carried out with the help of Sonitpur Police in Batamari, Sarupatgaon and Ghoramari Hatkhola areas under the Tezpur Excise Circle in Sonitpur district. About 90 litres of illicit distilled liquor, 800 kg pachwai and about 1,350 litres of fermented wash were destroyed during the raid. Moreover, 10 distilling apparatus and 35 utensils were seized during the raid. Two persons were arrested and they have been identified as Pankaj Nayak and Dilip Boro.
