DEMOW: Incessant rain since the last few days has affected the normal life of people in Demow and its surrounding areas. Due to the continuous rain, roadside vendors, businessmen and daily wage labourers have been most affected. Due to the water logging at NH-37 Road in Demow, pedestrians are facing serious problems. The Sentinel had highlighted the pathetic condition of the NH-37 Road many times. There were potholes in the NH-37 Road in Demow near Sitla Mandir but after The Sentinel highlighted this, the potholes were filled up. But now again it seems that a pothole has come up near Sitla Mandir at the NH-37 Road and due to the incessant rains, water has filled up the pothole, making it hazardous for bicycle and motorcycle riders, said Kartick Chanda, a resident of Demow. The locals have urged the authority concerned to fill up the pothole at the earliest.
