BOKO: Election rallies for third phase of assembly elections may be cancelled due to the poor weather conditions till Saturday. The election rallies of all political parties for second phase election concluded successfully but due to the heavy rainfall which started from Monday evening in many parts of Assam, election rallied for the third phase polls may be cancelled.

Dr. Sanjay O'Neill Shaw, DDGM of Regional Meteorological Centre, Guwahati, said that from March 30 to April 3, the State was likely to experience rainfall in most places with heavy to very heavy rain. Thunder squalls with wind speed 50-60 kmph and hail may hit isolated places. The bad weather condition will affect electioneering for the third phase polls and may also decrease the voter turnout in the second phase polls to be held on April 1.
