MANGALDAI: The Indian Army reiterating its commitment in contributing towards a sporting nation and to make the countrymen, particularly the younger generation physically fit in line with 'Fit India' mission of the government and to help them become confident and competent individuals and in an endeavour to engage the youth of the local community, constructed a fully equipped state of the art outdoor Gymnasium at Domini village in Baksa district of the state and dedicated it to the villagers.

The troops of Red Horns Division on Tuesday organized an inaugural function to hand over the outdoor gymnasium to the local community which was well represented by the members of the civil society and the local administration. Executive Member of BTC Ghanshyam Das in presence of senior army officials, leading citizens and village women dedicated the gymnasium hall to the people of the locality.

During the event, guidance and encouragement were given to local youth to overcome barriers by persistence and perseverance in order to become successful and to serve the country and live a dignified life. The army fervently hoped the project will assist the local youth to participate in sporting activities and contribute towards nation-building. Cross-section of the society of the locality highly appreciated the efforts put in by the Army.
