Indigo Airlines to be Introduced from Dibrugarh to Delhi

Dibrugarh: Budget carrier Indigo Airlines is all set to introduce its maiden non-stop flight from Dibrugarh to Delhi from August 14. The flight which is being viewed as an Independence Day gift for the passengers of Eastern Assam, was demanded by the corporate flyers for quite some time now. This flight, although a direct one, is the third in line from Indigo Airlines from the Tea City of India to the national capital.

One of the other two flights is via Guwahati while the second one is via Kolkata. The flight 6E 2216 will depart from the Terminal 2 at Indira Gandhi International Airport at Delhi at 11:45 am and reach Dibrugarh at 2:25 pm. Then the return flight, numbered 6E 2068, will take off from Dibrugarh at 2:55 pm and flying non-stop will reach Delhi at 5:50 pm. When contacted, Hemanta Kumar Roy, the Dibrugarh-based manager of the airline, confirmed that bookings for the flight were already open.
