DIGBOI: “Since industry and its workers are the two sides of the same coin, one is incomplete in the absence of the other. The Assam Oil Company Union (AOCLU) as such aims at achieving a balanced development for overall uplift of the workers and industry, besides contributing to accelerating peace and progress of oil city Digboi,” said Ajit Kumar Das, the newly-elected president of the union at Digboi.
Das was addressing the workers and employees of the IOC (AOD) Digboi at a swearing-in ceremony of the newly-elected body of AOCLU office-bearers on Friday evening here at its Charali Office. The newly-elected body of the Digboi based INTUC affiliated AOC Labour Union, after conducting its biennial general election recently for the session 2019-21, was sworn in here on Tuesday evening by Dipen Bora, the returning officer of AOCLU Biennial General Election, 2019.
