BONGAIGAON: A group of boys have taken up the initiative to make Bongaigaon town beautiful. Naba Nirman Trust of Bongaigaon has started an initiative for beautification of Bongaigaon by doodle and graffiti paintings at several places in Bongaigaon.

Santanu Choudhury, president of Naba Nirman Trust of Bongaigaon, said that there were several boys in their group. "We decided to beautify Bongaigaon town by art and doodle work. Hence we have selected some empty walls of Bongaigaon town and taken permission from Bongaigaon Municipality to do art on them. At first, we have drawn a portrait of Lovlina Borgohain who has qualified for the Tokyo Olympics. We have drawn the portrait on the wall of Bir Chilaray flyover in Bongaigaon with the help of an artists' group named 'Ami Bonoriya'. This way we have tried to convey our best wishes to her," he said.

"We have plans to do art in several different walls of Bongaigaon such as the walls of Birjhora HS School. We are also associated with food distribution to poor people during the lockdown period," he said.
