Dr Bharali, who is a recipient of President's National Grassroots Innovation Award, 2009 and winner of NASA Tech brief 'Create the Future Design Contest, 2013', briefly dwelt on his life by saying that he had to start his life from scratch, thereby implying that he had to repay Rs18 lakh of bank loan. He started making a small polythene-making machine. Thereafter, he did not have to look back and now the total number of his innovations stands at 153.
