KOKRAJHAR: To ensure better health services at Kokrajhar Medical College and Hospital (KMCH), Cabinet Minister Urkhao Gwra Brahma inaugurated an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at KMCH in the presence of BTC chief Pramod Boro, Speaker Katiram Boro, and MLA Lawrence Islary on Thursday.

Talking to mediapersons, Minister Brahma said that this critical addition marked a major boost to advanced healthcare services in BTR, ensuring better emergency response and lifesaving care for patients in need. He said that the flow of patients had been increasing at KMCH and many advanced equipment were being installed while the classes of MBBS are going well. He hoped that all shortcomings of the KMCH would be filled as early as possible.

Meanwhile, Pramod Boro inaugurated the state-of-the-art Model Blood Centre at Kokrajhar Medical College & Hospital on Thursday, in presence of Urkhao Gwra Brahma, Lawrence Islary, and administrators of KMCH. He said that equipped with modern infrastructure and advanced technology, the facility will significantly strengthen the healthcare delivery in BTR by ensuring timely and safe blood availability, helping save lives in critical situations.
