Interaction programme on skill development held

HAFLONG, May 19: A programme on capacity building and skill development, moderated by V.M. Thomas (SDB), the Founder Director of the Don Bosco Institute, Guwahati and Provincial of the Salesian Congregation of Guwahati Province , was organized by Don Bosco Alumni in collaboration with N.C Hills Autonomous Council, Haflong today.

Following the felicitation programme, NCHAC Principal Secretary Ramesh Thaosen, warmly welcomed V.M. Thomas, chief guest and moderator of the programme, Kulendra Daolagupu, EM N.C. Hills Autonomous Council. Kulendra Daolagupu, in his speech stressed upon taking the right decision at the right time and said that for it Human resource magement is indispensable.

He also mentioned that due to some shortfall in our skills we are uble to implement our schemes well.

V.M. Thomas, during the interaction programme, discussed about various aspects of work culture. He advised not to stick to repeated work culture with expectations of getting various results.

He also said that along with the improvement of technology, our skill also needs to improve. He asked everyone to be an effective one by taking skills in the network system. He also advised everyone to be futuristic by adapting oneself with the prevailing times.

For development of this district everyone needs to be responsive to be able to change the system by taking risk, he added. Thams concluded his speech by saying that quality education could change this district in a generation. The vote of thanks was offered by Zovi mpui, Joint Secretary of NCHAC. She thanked V.M. Thomas for the valuable guidance and asked all the participants to follow the guidelines given by the moderator and take initiatives for the development of this district.
