International Human Rights Day: Special awareness programmes in Tinsukia

TINSUKIA: With a view to eradicate violence against women and also in connection with the observance of International Human Rights Day on December 10, a series of special awareness programmes will be conducted from November 25 to December 10 in the Tinsukia district.
In this connection, a meeting was held on Wednesday at the DC's conference hall with Narsing Pawar, Deputy Commissioner of Tinsukia, in the chair. The meeting had a threadbare discussion and chalked out an elaborate programme to be undertaken in the next 16 days.
Among those present in the meeting were Sarfraz Haque, ADC, Preeti Kumari, SDO Margherita, District Child Protection Officer Rizwana Hazarika, Joint Director Health, Dr GS Gogoi, and others.
