International webinar held on COVID-19 & its impact on mental health

GOLAGHAT: An international webinar on 'The COVID-19 and its impact on mental health' was held on Saturday at Don Bosco College, Golaghat.

The resource persons were Dr. Pranjal Buragohain, Assistant Professor, Department of Education, Dibrugarh University, and Sr. Pushpa Cruz, Counsellor and Psycho-Therapist from PERU, Latin America. The webinar was organized by the Department of Education in Association with the IQAC.

Dr Pranjal spoke on how one could build strength to bounce back from a setback, how to master one's emotions and face situations courageously and positively.

Sr. Pushpa Cruz from Peru, Latin America, with her 25 years as counsellor working with youth, women, prisoners and victims of human trafficking, shed light on how such vulnerable people faced difficulties and neglect while the whole nation and system was focused on containing the pandemic.

After the question-answer session, Dr. Ranjan Kumar Behera, Dean of Academics, St. Joseph University, Nagaland, interacted with the resources persons and highlighted the learnings of the day.
