International Women’s Day celebrated in Demow

DEMOW: Under the patronage of Demow Sanmillit Mahila Samaj, the International Women’s Day 2023 was celebrated in Demow with different programmes on Wednesday.

As per the schedule, the programme started with a cleanliness drive which was followed by lighting of earthen lamp and flag hoisting. On the occasion, a procession was taken out which was inaugurated by Anu Goswami, Demow Kenduguri. An extempore speech competition and poem recitation were organized. After that, the prize distribution ceremony was organized where the winners were given away prizes.
