International workshop on arts and painting held at Sapatgram College, Dhubri

DHUBRI: The Bangla Department and Fine Arts Academy of Sapatgram College of Dhubri district organized a two-day international workshop recently on the college premises. The theme of the two-day workshop was the contention in arts and painting.

In his inaugural speech, principal of Sapatgram College, Dr. Rajeshwar Prasad Singh, thanked the Bangla Department of the College and Fine Arts Academy for organizing the International Workshop.

The workshop was attended by the cartoonist and journalists of Assam, Nituparna Rajbanshi, and Bangladeshi painter and professor of the arts department of Dhaka University, Biswajit Goswami.

A book published by the Bengali department on Indian literature and culture was jointly released by Dr. Rajeshwar Prasad Singh and Nituparna Rajbanshi.

Dr. Chaitali Bhowmik, Professor, Bangla Department of the college, delivered the theoretical explanation of the objectives of this two-day workshop and its importance.

The second day of the workshop was presented by Synior Brand Designer Bhimrsh Consuling, Mumbai’s Pubali Ghosh.

The session was conducted by Professor Dr. Bapi Chandra Das of the Bengali Department.

Awards and prizes were given away to the participants for their commendable work.

Altogether, 150 participants attended the workshop, including Assam and West Bengal.
