Invigilator of HSLC examination centre faces disciplinary action in Darrang

MANGALDAI: An invigilator of a HSLC examination centre here has faced disciplinary action for allegedly adopting unfair means during duty hours. According to an official source, a group of students in Uttar Mangaldai High School examination centre immediately after the examination of General Mathematics have alleged that the invigilator engaged in room no 17 in the centre offered undue favour to a candidate. Later following preliminary inquiry by the supervising officer Jyotirmoy Bharadwaj it has came to light that the daughter of the head of the same institution of which the invigilator is an assistant teacher sat as a candidate in the said room thus raising doubts.

Meanwhile Inspector of Schools, Darrang in the evening has served the erred invigilator a show cause notice and barred him from further discharging his duties as an invigilator. Moreover Darrang Deputy Commissioner Munindra Nath Ngatey has declared a magistrate inquiry in this regard.
