GOALPARA: The newly-formed Digital Media Journalists Association (DMJA), Goalpara on Saturday arranged a social interaction programme with the leading local citizens of Chunari, West Goalpara.
Presided over by academician and former journalist, Abu Taleb, the meeting thoroughly discussed the issues digital media should emphasize and the expectations of the common people from this platform.
Speakers from the mainstream media, MotiurRahman, Sofikul Ahmed, and Principal of Chunari College, Abdus Salam highlighted the social responsibility of the web portals and its associates.
JakirHussain and Jahidul Islam, president and secretary of the adhoc DMJA committee, promised quality service to the society. On the other hand, Johirul Islam and Abdul Awal, prominent local social workers, urged the media persons to work selflessly and without fear and assured total cooperation. About 60 journalists and leading citizens attended the programme.
