As per reports, Niraj Das tried to escape from the moving police jeep, in which he was escorted to the location where he has been operating his illegal drug trade.

GUWAHATI: The state of Assam woke up to a breaking headline and the emotions seems to be somewhat mixed- as for some justice was given instantly while for some it was still a mystery.

The news was nothing but prime accused of the Jorhat Mob lynching case, the 'Kola Lora' aka Niraj Das, died in a car accident at Cinamara Khariya Chuk while trying to escape police custody.

One social media user post the news wrote, "Proud of this government. Under the leadership of HBS Assam police has got back their lost glory. Faisla on the spot. Justice to Animesh within 3 days... Hats off"

"Kala gunda nisina same characteristics thoka manuh khini aji comment ot haha react di furisa. Aibur ok sini thok public a. Ata pikhas ha morisa aru anakua mentality thoka dher asa. Gaa purisa ehotor ata pikhas mora karna..But agor din nai etia faisla on the spot, basi najau tohot. Long live HBS long live Assam police," she added.

On the other hand, another one wrote, "Another extrajudicial killing. Our society already lost faith in the judicial system so they're cheering for this. This is some depraved society we're living in."

"Assam police has learnt a lot from the recent FAST TRACK CASES in AP and UP. Hope the accused of Abhi/Nil/Jhankar case tries to escape soon," wrote another.

Further one wrote, "When the law is in a state of lawlessness, we can't expect further stop of any kind of criminal activities in our country....when law people itself breaks law what left for the common person.....why can't the law punish the culprits within legal sphere giving the highest amount of punishment??"
