Guwahati: Port of Rotterdam has appointed Amlan Bora as a representative for South Asia and will assist in collaboration between Netherlands, India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh

Bora’s engagement has been formalised through Dhanoni Advisory LLP. This will help the port of Rotterdam, and consequently the Netherland’s ambition to deepen relations with South Asian nations including India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

Bora will support the Port of Rotterdam Authority and its stakeholders in Rotterdam, India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh in establishing equitable supply chains for cargo and bulk as well as new energy molecules, such as hydrogen carriers.

Bora operates from the Ahmedabad office of Dhanoni in the state of Gujarat which is one of the key maritime states of India, has a long partnership with Port of Rotterdam Authority and is the home to many Dutch investments in various sectors.

Prior to his current position Amlan Bora was the Chief Representative and Trade & Investment Commissioner of the Netherlands Business Support Offices (NBSO) in India. The NBSOs are trade offices managed by the Ministry of Economic Affairs of the Dutch Government. Deeply engaged in India’s development, Bora advises several non-profit organisations in the country and abroad, and occasionally delivers guest lectures at leading Indian and international universities.
