Journalist Prafulla Rajguru memorial meet held at Jorhat Press Club

JORHAT: A day-long memorial on journalist, educationist and social worker Prafulla Rajguru was held at Jorhat Press Club. It was organized by the journalists of Jorhat district on the 10th day from his death on March 27, where prominent senior citizens, intellectuals and journalists from the district were present. The meeting was presided over by Niranjan Mahanta, the president of the club, on Thursday.

Ananta Narayan Borthakur, the general secretary of the club, delivered the welcome address and spoke about the contribution of Prafulla Rajguru to the Jorhat Press Club during his tenure as founder president. He remained adviser of the club till his demise. Shashi Prova Borgohain, prominent educationist and director of Jonaki Sangha Vidyalaya, said that Rajguru was the real hero of the society. Among others who spoke on the occasion were Dr. Binita Dutta, Dr. Malini, journalist Deben Bora, Raj Chakroborty from Axam Xahitya Xabha, Dimbory Das and Dr. Tapan Dutta.
