JSS Organizes Awareness Campaign on Entrepreneurship Development

MANGALDAI: Jan Shikshan Sansthan (JSS) Darrang, in collaboration with Pradhan Mantri YuvaYojana, organized an awareness campaign on entrepreneurship development in the meeting hall of the office of the Assistant Director of Sericulture, Darrang recently.

In the meeting presided over by the Assistant Director of Sericulture, Darrang Jogesh Ch. Talukdar, General Manager of DICC, Darrang, Hemanta Kumar Talukdar and Nodal Manager of PM Yuva Yojana, Mrinal Paul took part in the campaign as the chief guest. Director of JSS Darrang, Sheikh Md. Amin and other officials from various departments also took part in it. The main motto was to create awareness and provide entrepreneurship training among the successful beneficiaries trained under JSS, Darrang. A total of 148 participants took part in the campaign.

The General Manager of DICC, Darrang, in his speech said that the main capital for business was patience, punctuality, honesty and hard work. One must have patience as business needs time to flourish. The main objective of business is to satisfy the customers. He also said that the nature of savings was most important for success. He urged the firms and individuals to get registered under DICC and maintain proper communication with DICC to enlarge their business through advice and proper guidance. He also advised the participants to pay the loan instalments against their loan on time.

Assistant Director of Sericulture, Jogesh Ch. Talukdar opined that women empowerment had been given prime importance by the Central Government and many schemes had been launched to include women in order to empower them.

Nodal Manager of PM Yuva Yojana, Assam, Mrinal Paul said that the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India had launched a pilot project under PM Yuva scheme for entrepreneurship development of trained skilled persons. Under the scheme, entrepreneurship development training will be given to the trained persons who have either already established their business or are willing to set up their business in future.

Director of Jan Shikshan Sansthan, Sheikh Md. Amin spoke about the functioning of the Jan Shikshan Sansthan, Darrang which has been providing skill development training in various trades in Darrang district. He urged the young generation to come forward and join in various new skill development training as per their requirement for skill development and self-sufficiency.
