
GUWAHATI: Kachugaon secured a commanding 2–0 victory over Kajalgaon in the final match of the Bodoland Chief Executive Member’s (CEM) Cup Football Tournament, marking a proud moment for the team and its supporters.
The CEM Cup, an initiative of the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC), aims to harness the power of sports—especially football—for social transformation, peacebuilding, and youth empowerment across the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR).
Structured across multiple administrative tiers—Village Council Development Committees (VCDCs), BTCLA Constituencies, Districts, and the Council level—the tournament ensures deep community engagement and inclusivity. It opens doors for athletes from remote villages to participate in organized sports, spotlighting local talent and strengthening cultural ties among diverse communities.
