Kaliadaman Bhaona of Koch Gaon cancelled due to COVID-19 pandemic

JAMUGURIHAT: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 225-year old glorious Kaliadaman Bhaona of Koch Gaon, Jamugurihat has been cancelled. In a press statement issued by Pradeep Saikia and Bhaskar Jyoti Saikia, president and secretary of the organizing committee respectively, it was stated that the bhaona, which was scheduled on August 20, had been cancelled as per a decision taken during the executive meeting of the organizing committee. The organizers said that devotees can offer prayers and lit ceremonial lamps in their homes.
