Kamrup (M) Bags SKOCH Gold Award For Its Terrific Handling Of Covid 19 Pandemic
GUWAHATI: As a result of their terrific handling of the coronavirus situation in the state, the SKOCH Gold award has been awarded to the Kamrup Metropolitan District Administration.
Keshab Mahanta, the minister of Health and Family Welfare, took to Twitter to congratulate the department on their marvelous achievement and he also expressed his solace.
"It's a matter of great pride and honor for us as the Kamrup Metropolitan District Administration has been conferred with SKOCH Gold award for its response to #COVID19. This prestigious award would be an inspiration to others in this critical time," said the Minister's tweet.
"Congratulations and gratitude to #KamrupMetroDC, ADC Health, ADC Vaccination, Health Department Officials, Doctors, Nurses, Frontline, Asha and Anganwadi Workers, MPW, Surveillance Workers, Ambulance staff and Police Admin for their hard work and dedication in this pandemic situation, " said another tweet made by the minister.
People, projects, and institutions who have contributed significantly to society and made an impact by their initiatives are felicitated by this award.
Earlier, the Kamrup Metropolitan District Administration had been nominated for this award for a project of the district called 'Response Towards COVID'.
The department shared this good news on their Twitter handle. The tweet said, "We are pleased to announce that Kamrup Metro District has been shortlisted for prestigious SKOCH awards for our Project Response towards Covid. Requesting everyone to have a look at our nomination and support us by voting for the project. Voting lines close on 13/9/21 at 10 am."
The district administration had also appealed to its constituents for supporting their nomination by voting for the project.
The voting lines had been shut on 13 September 2021 at 10 am.
The Department had also shared a link on Twitter on how to vote for the project.
