Khandajan Model High School qualifies for 'Best Performing School' award

MANGALDAI: Khandajan Model High School in Sipajhar LAC of Darrang district, for the second consecutive year, has qualified for the 'Best Performing School' award by the State Education department. The Secondary Education department of Assam, vide a notification dated September 1, has informed that Khandajan Model High School has been included in the list of 10 'Best Performing Schools' for showing cent per cent result and the award would be conferred during the State-level celebration of Teachers' Day in Guwahati on September 5.

In the HSLC final examination 2020, a total of 34 candidates appeared in the examination, of which four secured star marks with letter marks, seven secured first division with letter marks, 20 candidates secured second division with letter marks and three got third division. In the HSLC examination 2019, too, the school secured a cent per cent success rate.

Out of total 50 candidates, two got star marks with letter, 15 secured the first division with letter marks, and 30 candidates secured second division with letter marks while three candidates secured third division. Khandajan Model High School is the only school of the district to secure the 'Best Performing School award' for the second consecutive year.

Sipajhar Legislator Binanda Kumar Saikia and Darrang Deputy Commissioner Dilip Kumar Borah have congratulated the school authority for the rare achievement and hoped that the school would be able to continue their achievements. Former Headmistress of the school, Anima Saharia –the key person behind this achievement - has expressed her gratitude to all the teachers of the school for their relentless dedicated service in shaping moulding the rural talents into proper shape.
