TEZPUR: A sprint campaign to achieve 100 per cent saturation of all PM Kisan beneficiaries in the Sonitpur district with Kisan Credit Cards (KCC) will began today covering all 82 gaon panchayats of the district.

The campaign aims to provide KCC to all eligible PM Kisan beneficiaries, who do not have KCC; facilitate all farmers in getting benefits of ongoing schemes especially KCC; cover all eligible farmers under various social security scheme viz. PMSBY/ PMJJBY/APY of the PMJDY programme and to mobilize potential farmers through Special Gram Sabha and enrol maximum number of farmers under KCC (Crop, AH & Fisheries).

It may be noted that this special nationwide campaign was initiated with the address of the Prime Minister today during nationwide special Gram Sabha and it is being organized by the Department of Agriculture & Farmers' Welfare, Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India in association with State Government/Union Territories/banks etc.

The village sarpanches, Bank Sakhis attached with banks under ASRLM, Business Correspondent of the bank/branch and other Field Functionaries of the Bank will motivate/ assist farmers in preparation of KCC applications.

All PM Kisan beneficiaries will have to fill a one-page simplified form, giving their details of land record, crop details and a declaration that they have not availed benefit of KCC from any other branch.

This one-page simplified form is only for PM Kisan beneficiaries and is available on website of all Scheduled Commercial Banks (SCBs), website of the Department (www.agricoop.gov. in) as well as on the PM Kisan portal, (www.pmkisan .gov.in ) etc.

The one page KCC application format can also be collected from Common Service Centres (CSC) /Bank Branches

The applications will be received directly at the bank branches and also through the Nodal officers from eligible farmers for Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries activities, through District Agriculture/Horticulture offices, District Veterinary Surgeons, District Fishery Officer, field supervisors of district milk unions, PACS and CSC etc.

After scrutiny of applications, all PM Kisan beneficiaries would be in-principle auto approved for issuance of KCC and eligible credit limit shall be sanctioned subject to completion of simple formalities.

The Sonitpur district administration has requested all farmers who have not received KCC so far to come forward and enroll themselves during this campaign.
