Kokrajhar district administration takes precautions for peaceful Durga puja

KOKRAJHAR: Kokrajhar district administration has made all preparations to ensure Durga Puja in a peaceful manner maintaining COVID protocols. Though COVID-19 is not fully over yet the puja committees are preparing their mandaps with decorative items to attract the worshippers and visitors. There are more than 130 puja mandaps in the district.

The district administration has already held meeting with the puja committees on maintaining COVID protocols. The committee had been asked to follow the COVID protocols in a strict manner.

Meanwhile, the police administration has taken up all measures to maintain peace and order during puja. The Kokrajhar police on Monday took out police march in RN Brahma Road, Jwhwlao Dwimalu Road, Thana Road etc. to ensure safety and security. The SP, Kokrajhar Pratik Vijay Thube led the police rally. The Kokrajhar police has prepared to thwart any subversive attempt of bad elements.
