KOKRAJHAR: Kokrajhar Superintendent of Police Rakesh Roushan and his family members tested COVID-19 positive on Sunday. The SP is now in home quarantine in the official residence.

Two ADCs -Debajit Bora and Bhaskar Das- also tested positive four days ago while District Programme Manager (DPM) of NHM, Uttam Kr. Brahma also tested positive on Saturday and is in the isolation ward of RN Brahma Civil Hospital.

Meanwhile, Dr. Amol Mashahary, SDM of Kokrajhar RN Brahma Civil Hospital, is still battling for life in Guwahati and in the ICU since the past 12 days. On the other hand, 20 new positive cases were detected within 24 hours on Sunday in Kokrajhar, bringing the total number of positive cases to 1,253 while 989 patients have been discharged after recovery. The district now has 223 active cases of COVID-19.
