Krishi Vigyan Kendra organized workshop for Anganwadi workers

TINSUKIA: At a part of the month-long observance of Poshan Maah 2020, the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Tinsukia organized a day-long workshop involving Anganwadi workers and women farmers on Thursday.

More than 40 Anganwadi workers from eight social welfare blocks of Tinsukia district along with local rural women attended the programme. Addressing the gathering as chief guest, Bolin Chetia, MLA of Sadiya, stressed the necessity of nutritious food and emphasised practicing kitchen garden. He also distributed packets of vegetable seeds among the participants. While Dr Sanjay Borthakur, scientist-in-charge, KVK Tinsukia inaugurated the camp, Sanchaita Gohain, Mrinmoy Chetia and Priyanka Amonge, scientists of KVK, acted as resource persons.
