NAHARKATIA: The 'Lai Khuta' of the 91st annual session of the Srimanta Shankardev Sangh was set up by Padadhikar Kamalakanta Gogoi in the presence of thousands of people including Agriculture, Veterinary, Border Areas Development & Protection and Aasam Accord Implementation Minister Atul Bora and other dignitaries at the 'Vaikunthpuri Rangli Pather' in the Bagmibar Kaka Nilmani Phukan Samanaya Khetra, Kaliapani here on Sunday. The session will be held at Kaliapani at the invitation of the Dibrugarh district branch in February next year.
A celebration committee has already been constituted; and all the work has been taken forward for the three-day session to be held February 4, 5 and 6, 2022.
Meanwhile, the Naharkatia Rangli Pather area got converted into 'Vaikunthpuri' todayduring the "Laikhuta"-laying programme. The programme started with programmes like 'Usha Kirtan', 'Naam Prasanga', and Environment Desaliation programmes at 10 am. The laikhuta was laid by Kamalakant Gogoi, the padadhikar of Srimanta Shankardev Sangh, in the presence of the celebration committee's working president and local MLA Tarang Gogoi as well as the Agriculture Minister Atul Bora, Shankar Sangha chief secretary Babul Bora aong others.
Ahead of today's laikhuta-installation programme, hundreds of 'bhakta vaishnavas' welcomed the padadhikar of Shrimant Shankardev Sangh -- Kamalakant Gogoi. He was also led in a procession by committee president Jayant Nath, local MLA and working president of the welcomed committee Tarang Gogoi, Shrimanta Shankardev Sangh principal secretary Babul Bora.
A public meeting was held at Rangli Pather Primary School near the session site after today's laying of the laikhuta of this session.
The meeting, presided by Padadhikar Kamalakant Gogoi, was inaugurated by the hief secretary of Srimanta Sankardev Sangha -- Babul Bara.
MLA Tarang Gogoi extended the welcome statement at the meeting. After the 'Laikhuta'-installation programme, work will commence for the construction of the main 'mandapas' of the session as well as other 'pandals', 'seva vaishnava shivir', 'bhakta vaishnava shibir', 'bhojanalaya', and 'bipani .
