Laikhuta of All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) district session erected at Gadhehagi village, Biswanath Chariali

BISWANATH CHARIALI: The laikhuta of the first annual session of All Biswanath District Students’ Union was erected at Gadhehagi village, Biswanath Chariali on Sunday.

The first annual session of the student body will be held on June 10 and June 11. A strong reception committee along with a number of sub-committees were already formed to hold the session with a two-day programme with the help of Biswanath Sub-Divisional Students’ Union, Biswanath Chariali Regional Students’ Union and the local people.

The programme commenced at 11 am amidst the holy rituals of Bhakat-Vaishnava and the ceremonial uruli of the women. Central executive members of All Assam Students’ Union, Rupam Das and Dhrubajyoti Borah, president of the reception committee, Naren Sharma, president of All Biswanath District Students’ Union, Vikram Bikash Borah, a large number of dignitaries, former AASU office-bearers and others were present on the occasion.
