Lakhimpur DC appointed Nodal & Assistant Nodal Officer for COVID-19

LAKHIMPUR: Deputy Commissioner of Lakhimpur, Dr. Jeevan B appointed ADC Utpal Borah, who is in charge of Food, Civil Supply and Consumer Affairs of the district, as Nodal Officer, keeping in view the alarming situation arising out of the possibility of the outbreak of novel coronavirus. The DC made this appointment through a notification issued vide No. NLS 36/EC/2020/107 in pursuance of government letter No. FSA 210/2015 Pt/76, dated March 20.

On the other hand, Assistant Controller of Legal Metrology, Lakhimpur was appointed as Assistant Nodal Officer. They will liaise with and assist the DC and also liaise and coordinate with district police and Health department or any other departments wherever necessary for the prevention of the pandemic outbreak. On the other hand, through another order issued vide No. NLS 36/EC/2020/108, the DC directed all the gaon panchyat Samabai Samitis and fair price shop dealers of the district to ensure sanitation measures and public display of health messages in their respective premises, showing information on Dos and Don'ts for the prevention of the outbreak and spread of the pandemic.
