Lakhimpur district registers eight COVID positive cases in three days

LAKHIMPUR: With the decline in the number of COVID-19 infected people, the pandemic scenario has been improving gradually in Lakhimpur district along with the State. However, a total of 8 COVID-19 positive cases had been detected in the district in the last three days.

Though Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) was conducted on 77 people on Sunday, no positive case was detected out of them. On the other hand, 5 positive cases were detected on Monday out of 361 RAT conducted while 3 positive cases were found on Tuesday after conducting the RAT on 153 people across the district. With these newly-detected positive cases, Lakhimpur registered a total of 8,010 COVID-19 patients detected from April 4 to this day. Out of them, 7,982 have been discharged while 28 cases are active cases. The active cases are under home isolation at present.
