Lakhimpur LAC unit of Asom Chatra Parishad constituted at Gana Bhavan

LAKHIMPUR: The Lakhimpur Legislative Assembly Constituency unit of Asom Chatra Parishad, the students' wing of the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP), was constituted in a public meeting held at Gana Bhavan located in North Lakhimpur town. Lakhimpur MLA Utpal Dutta inaugurated the public meeting which commenced with Bolin Kumar Das, the president of Lakhimpur district unit of Asom Yuva Parishad, in the chair. Inaugurating the event, Utpal Dutta delivered an analytical speech on what the aims and objective should be of the students' wing of the political party.

"The activities and ideology of the students' wing of our party must be unique. I hope the Asom Chatra Parishad will spearhead a revolution in the State as well as in Lakhimpur district in order to bring drastic change in academic, intellectual and economic development," Utpal Dutta said.

Asom Chatra Parishad State president Trinayan Baruah, vice-president Rabi Sankar Konwar and other leaders spoke on the occasion. In the programme, the Lakhimpur LAC unit of Asom Chatra Parishad was constituted with Anupam Saikia as president, Koushik Baruah as working president and Bikash Hazarika as general secretary.
