Last session of Assam Legislative Assembly to be held in New Building

GUWAHATI: The last day's proceedings of the February session of the Assam Legislative Assembly (ALA) will be held in the yet-to-be completed new House on Saturday. The day's works will be started with the speech of Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal.

Such a decision was taken all of a sudden on Friday. Speaker Hitendra Nath Goswami, the Chief Minister, Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, their Cabinet Colleagues and MLAs visited the new ALA building on Friday.

The Speaker said on Thursday that it would take four-five months more for the completion of the new ALA House.
