Lat Mandal of Patharighat Revenue Circle in Darrang district arrested for graft

MANGALDAI: The sleuths of Anti-Corruption and Vigilance wing of Assam Police on Wednesday caught red-handed Hari Prasad Sinha- a lat mandal of Patharighat Revenue Circle in the Darrang district, and arrested him under the provision of Prevention of Corruption Act.

The arrested lot mandal, Hari Prasad Sinha, originally a resident of the Dhuburi district, had demanded an amount of Rs 18,000 from Pankaj Deka for mutation of a plot of 10 lessa Myadi patta land. The ACV officials also seized the amount from his possession while he was sitting in his office.
