Lata Mangeshkar's death condoled in North Lakhimpur

LAKHIMPUR: The demise of legendary singer, Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar was deeply mourned by the students, teachers and office staff of Lakhimpur Commerce College in North Lakhimpur on Monday. A condolence meeting was held in the college where the life and works of the great artiste were recalled while paying rich tributes. The condolence meeting was led by Dr Lohit Hazarika, Principal of the college where a short speech on the exemplary life and works of Lata Mangeshkar was delivered by Sazzad Hussain, HoD-English of the college. A one minute silence was observed in respect of the departed soul of Lata Mangeshkar in that condolence meeting.
