Legal Services Camp Held in Morigaon

MORIGAON: Morigaon district administration and District Legal Services Authority jointly, supported by Assam State Legal Services Authority, organized a legal services camp at Tarunram field on Sunday. India being a welfare state, it has a large number of poverty alleviation schemes in order to facilitate its citizens from getting access to amenities and services so that they can live with dignity. Though the intention of the policymakers is noble experience has taught that more often than not, the benefits of the poverty alleviation schemes do not reach the neediest due to many reasons. Therefore, it is an obligation for the Legal Services Authorities to act as a facilitator with regard to the welfare schemes reaching the intended beneficiaries. In this regard, the camp was organized. Altogether 18 departments highlighted their schemes launched for people of the State. On the other hand, DLSA highlighted its free legal services to people. Besides, other departments like Sericulture, Social Welfare and Agriculture also displayed their schemes in the camp.
